Sonlight Sunday

What is Sonlight Sunday?
Four times a year, on the fifth Sunday of the month, we pause to celebrate something extraordinary: the unique talents and giftings that God has blessed our church family with. Sonlight Sunday is our time to shine a light on these gifts—and on the people who possess them.
Whether someone is a gifted athlete, musician, artist, teacher, gardener, chef, or craftsperson, Sonlight Sunday honors their abilities and reminds us all that every talent is a gift from God meant to glorify Him and strengthen our community.

How We Celebrate
Part 1: Sunday Worship
We gather for worship and celebrate our featured member, sharing their story and recognizing how their talents reflect God's creativity and generosity.

PART 2: Experience & Fellowship
Then comes the fun part! We don't just talk about the talent—we experience it together. Join us as we:
-
Watch a tennis match with our featured instructor and her teammates
-
Attend a recital or musical performance
-
Visit an art studio or gallery showcase
-
Enjoy a special meal prepared by a culinary artist
-
Try a hands-on workshop in painting, woodworking, or crafts
-
Cheer on a fellow believer competing in their sport
We gather for snacks, conversation, and genuine community as we celebrate and support one another.
